As we say goodbye to 2024, we at Pillow Talk Scotland are filled with gratitude for everything this year has brought — and none of it would have been possible without you!

This year has been transformative, filled with growth, creativity, and connection. So let’s look at everything we’ve accomplished together.

📈 Our year in numbers

In 2024, we achieved more than we could have imagined:

• 18 Events: From our regular sex positive reading groups to consent workshops, pub quizzes, and belly dance classes, each event was a celebration of learning and connection.

• 300 Attendees: Including 16% who returned for multiple events — a true testament to the vibrant, supportive community we’re building.

🎉 A year of milestones

Every milestone this year has been a stepping stone towards an even spicier future:

• We officially became a registered charity, ensuring our mission can grow sustainably.

• We welcomed a new board of trustees: Huge thanks to Alessandra, Carys, Evelyn, Kat, Kristina, and Laura for their fantastic work this year!

• Onboarded our first-ever volunteers, Eryn and Mauragh, whose energy has been brilliant.

• Debuted our first market stall at the Uncensored Market, where we connected with so many lovely people.

• Secured our first-ever grant funding, which brought our events to life!

✨ Using creativity for good

Our mission to educate and amplify community voices took centre stage in 2024:

• We celebrated our first copublication with The National — a proud moment for our team!

• Our first-ever zine, Pelvic Power, tackled pelvic health with a mix of humour and informative insights.

• Social media and local platforms, including The Glasgow Wrap, amplified our reach, helping us connect with even more people.

In November, we looked at the intersection of gender and disability when it comes to experiences of abuse

At the heart of everything we do is our incredible network of supporters, partners, and collaborators. This year, we worked with amazing organisations and individuals who share our vision for a more sex positive Scotland.

👀 Looking ahead

Becoming a registered charity is just the beginning of what we hope to accomplish. With your continued support, here’s what we’re dreaming of for the year ahead:

• Expanding our events: Bringing sex positivity to more communities across Scotland.

• Developing new resources: Including more creative and accessible educational tools.

• Strengthening partnerships: Collaborating with new organisations to amplify our impact.
